Assistant Ice Technician (AIT) Course (1 Day)

Curling Canada has updated and modernized the delivery of AIT Course. The Assistant Ice Technician course is a one-day course suitable for volunteers, and assistants working under the guidance of a Certified Head Ice Technician. At the completion of the course, participants are given TRAINED Assistant Ice Technician status.

Course Location: Chilliwack Curling Centre

Course Date & Time: Saturday, August 8, 2026 (8:30am to 5:00pm)

Maximum Participants in Course: 16

Bring: clean, grippy shoes, warm clothing, notebook, pencils, water bottle, snacks

Lunch: Lunch is on your own.

Curling Canada will provide course materials.

Pre-requisite: None

Withdrawals and Refunds

Curling Canada will grant full refunds if Curling Canada run events are cancelled due to weather, insufficient registrations or Curling Canada's inability to operate the event as scheduled (i.e. staff illness, facility issues).

If a registrant wishes to withdraw or unregister for an event once registered, fees will be refunded based on the schedule below:

a) 0-7 days from event: No refund will be given, failing a catastrophic injury or event in the registrant's life (In the case of extenuating circumstances, a full or partial refund may be granted at the discretion of the Curling Canada staff responsible for the event).

b) 8-13 days from the event: Curling Canada will refund 50% of the registration fee when the registration fee is $50 or more. If the registration fee is less than $50, Curling Canada will charge a $25.00 admin/financial transaction fee, and refund the balance.

c) 14+ days from the event: Curling Canada will refund the full amount of the registration fee, less a $25.00 or 10% (whichever amount is higher) admin/financial transaction fee.
