Curling Canada - Symposium des affaires de club

Curling Canada - Club Business Symposium May 26-28, 2022 Niagara Falls, Ontario

Curling Canada - Club Business Symposium May 26-28, 2022 Niagara Falls, Ontario

Participation in this Symposium aligns directly with Curling Canada’s stated goals supporting clubs and associations in their efforts to welcome a more diverse membership and to create an environment where all are able to play without fear of discrimination or maltreatment.

This 3-day Symposium will help us better understand the history of curling as it has unfolded in the Canadian context and to focus on the ways privilege and discrimination have created barriers to participation.

We will share knowledge and ideas with, and learn from, like-minded sport organisations (e.g., The Swedish Curling Association) about projects and plans that can help to broaden and support access to curling at all levels.

Our aim is to develop and evaluate initiatives aimed at lowering barriers to participation for members of marginalized groups; to create actionable, evidence-based programming that we can share with our clubs and associations around the country (and internationally) as we all work to welcome and include a diverse group of participants to the joy of curling and all its social, physical, and mental benefits.

Finally, we will also present a full day of best practices and topical information to help your business operations.
