U-21 Mixed Doubles Qualifier - both curlers must be 20 years of age or younger as of June 30, 2025.
The format for this event is a 48-team triple knockout down to four (4) qualifying teams.
The four teams that qualify will earn a berth into our 2026 U-21 Mixed Doubles National Championship March 24-27 in Sudbury, ON. The winner of the nationals will represent Canada at the U-21 World Mixed Doubles Championship in May 2026 in Edmonton, AB.
Pre-Event Practice will be given to each team on Wednesday, Nov. 26th in the morning on one sheet. This is optional for all teams.
All games are 8 ends playing the 5-Rock Free Guard Zone.
CMDR Points will be awarded. U-21 Mixed Doubles Qualifier winning teams will receive 10 CMDR points each. All other teams will receive 1 CMDR point per win.
Each curler must be Canadian citizen and must be a member of a Curling Canada Member Association.
U-21 Mixed Doubles teams with athletes under the age of 18 must have a coach with certification of at least Competition Coach or a chaperone and they must be at least 21 years of age at the time of the event. If the team does not have a curler under the age of 18, a certified coach is optional. Coaches must complete Curling Canada’s mandatory education requirements inclusive of Safe Sport, Match Manipulation and Concussion Training.
