At the completion of this course, coaches should be able to:
Identify common injuries in the sport of curling Identify reasons for these common injuries Understand the components of a proper warm up Create a warm up plan and implement it Choose skills and drills that help athletes perform at their best. Recognize signs of fatigue and overtraining Understand the goal of utilizing recovery & regeneration techniques to minimize fatigue Understand proper hydration, nutrition, and the importance of sleep. Implement recovery and regeneration techniques to maintain or return to optimal performance in training and competition Develop a “return-to-curling” readiness plan after an athlete has been injured.
